History
In the academic year 2021, with an aim to push forward the
internationalization policy of the university and highlight the special
features of its development, the Department of Banking and Finance has
redesigned its undergraduate program and came up with a brand new
program－DIVISION OF GLOBAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (English‐taught
program), formerly known as Bachelor's Program in Global Financial
Management (English‐Taught Program). All the courses of the program are
fully instructed in English with no exception.

The major courses of the first two years of study will focus on the
fundamental theories related to international financial management. The
Junior Year will emphasize its study on scopes of internationalization, IT
based information, and futuristic education to bring up financial talents.
The Senior year curriculum will focus on both financial theories and
practical practices, which will enable students to evenly cultivate in diverse
fields.

With an aim to emphasis the development of globalization and to position
two different existing programs with harmony, the department restructures
its curriculum with one division of Banking and Finance which emphasizes
traditional financial contents and with another division of English‐taught
DIVISION OF GLOBAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT which concentrates on global
financial management activities and puts international differences into
considerations and reconciles all global resources with harmony.

The department set sails to cultivate qualitative Banking and Finance and
Global Financial Management elites. Every graduate from our department
would without doubt play a key person role in every professional area and
become the social ascendancy of nowadays society.

Employment opportunities span the global, across corporate finance,
investment institute, banking and government. From and basic economic
theory, corporate finance, principle investment courses, you can get ready
to more profound investment courses, such as fixed income, derivatives,
investment bank, wealth management, and financial engineering to
prepare for the test of CFA and FRM.

We focus on each individual future plans. Pupils would have career
guidance from freshman year and homeroom teachers would help support
pupils to think futuristically. DIVISION OF GLOBAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
(ENGLISH‐TAUGHT PROGRAM) would provide complete resources and
encourage pupils to take courses useful for their future career. With
financial profession and other specialties gained during the four years of
learning, we believe this can broaden the views of pupils and create
competitive advantage for them in the future.

Further Development & Study Options
DIVISION OF GLOBAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (ENGLISH‐TAUGHT PROGRAM) is
the foundation to enter the graduate program of College of Business and
Management. There are 13 Chinese-Taught and 2 other English-Taught graduate
programs. All the graduate programs provide dual degree programs.
